About the Author
Joe Marwood is a seasoned trader and investor specialising in stock trading, stock investing, forex trading and trading systems. He worked as a professional futures trader in London, England, before starting up his own private investment fund in 2012. He now trades a global portfolio of equities using a range of systematic and discretionary methods. Marwood began his career day trading the FTSE 100 future and German Bund and he worked right through the financial crisis of 2008/2009. He has a passion for building mechanical trading strategies and uses a blend of fundamental and technical analysis to find low-risk investment opportunities and short-term trades. He was taught by the former head of trading at a leading German investment bank and is also an established financial writer, Udemy course instructor, author of a book on stock trading, and a regular Seeking Alpha contributor.

Generous with his knowledge

The reason I am giving 5 stars is the generosity of the author in sharing trading system scripts and historical data. For the price paid its an absolute steal and a no-brainer. The book itself is interesting and useful with plenty of worthwhile and some novel tips, although it came across as slightly disorganised. My main criticisms would be that it glosses over 'fundamental analysis' - fine if that's not the authors thing but it would be nice to hear more about why, and secondly it seems to give the impression that you can trade anything, forex, coffee, shares etc, all of which may be a bit much for the average Joe public.

These days, we read about college students still living with their parents in the late 20s or early 30s because the can't find a job. That's what we read in the news media, of course.
But, the good news, that we don't hear as much about is that there are many smart, savvy young adults that are defying the challenges our current economy and are seeing the beginnings of financial success in through their work, whether in a corporate situation or launching their own business.
They are position themselves to have the funds with which to grow wealth through investing in various vehicles in the financial markets. For them, this book is a perfect path for entry, because, unlike the plethora of financial markets "get rich quick" how-tos, this one provides a vast overview systems and methods that are experienced investors use. After an introduction to fundamental and technical analysis, you'll find:
✓ A comprehensive collection of trading systems using mainstream indicators and technical tools.
✓ Historical results for each system giving the reader a quantitative view on the level of risk vs reward
✓ Code that can be used to automate the use of these systems through widely available software platforms.
For the beginner coming into trading and investing for the first time, there are far too many books and Internet based products that want you buy into a single ideology. Unfortunately, many turn out to be scams.
This by JB Marwood serves as a strong foundation for the savvy individual to make good judgments and avoid the painful mistake many people make when their start on their path toward wealth building. Highly recommended, for anyone who looking for realistic guidance and not pie in the sky strategies. I did take off a one star as I think the title is a bit over the top.

Interesting but I thought it covered too much in too little detail. The last part on 20 systems should have been explained in much greater detail. I found this part was what I needed to know but so sparse I didn't get much out of it.
